Staff writer Isabella Manessis discusses the top colors to wear this spring.

To get an idea of what colors are going to be popular this spring I looked at three popular fashion blogs, Instyle, Wardrobe Oxygen, and Marie Claire. I also looked at popular fashion influencers all with more than eighty-thousand followers and got an idea of what colors were most common. There were numerous colors but I narrowed it down to the top seven.

GREEN, GREEN AND MORE GREEN!

Although green may not always be a popular color in clothing, I think we are going to be seeing lots of green this spring season, whether it’s shoes, clothes, nails, or even purses and accessories. I think that green is a good color for this season because it brings spring vibes and has the ability to pull together an outfit. I might not be wearing full green outfits, but I definitely am going to think about painting my nails green.

BLUE

Blue is a color that’s usually always in style, varying in shades. This year I believe that it will be seen in lighter shades such as the color “robin egg” blue. I have a lot of this color in my closet, so I am excited that blue will be a trendy color this season!

BLACK AND WHITE

Black and white are colors that are in every year and every season, which leads me to believe they will be in this year too! I think that there will be lots of outfits mixed with black and white, not one color over the other. I think that having black and white in is great because they are two neutral colors that still pop if you wear them right!

PINK

Pink is a color that is wearable in many different shades: hot pink, pastel pink, champagne pink, and everything in between! I think we will be seeing lots of different hues of pink this spring. Starting in February, pink becomes a hot color—especially for nails. Personally, I find pink nails perfect because they look really good in any style or at any length. I also am a fan of pink clothes, especially dresses and skirts!

LAVENDER

Lavender has not been popular in past seasons but is going to be very popular this season. According to Marie Claire, “Lavender’s popularity and frequency on the runways rose to 61.6 percent for the Spring/Summer 23 collections.” This rise in lavender’s popularity is exciting because it’s a very pretty color, bright and perfect for spring!

TEAL

Teal, a bright and exciting spring/summer color, is going to be in this season! Although people might not wear teal clothing, I think teal is going to be popular for make-up and nails because of its electrifying energy. I really like the color teal, and it is one of my favorites, so I am thrilled!

YELLOW

For the past few years, yellow has been a popular color for spring, and it’s back again! Similarly to all of the other colors, yellow brings a bright and fun mood to the table, so it’s not surprising it has come back! I think there will be more yellow clothes rather than accessories and nails. I also believe yellow will look perfect when paired with pink or blue pieces.

FINAL THOUGHTS

I am very pleased with all of the colors on this list, and I can’t wait to go spring shopping! As a girl who calculates time until events by considering how many nail appointments away they are, I can’t wait to wear these colors in only one nail appointment’s time! I hope that this list is able to serve as a guide to make your spring outfits ideal!
