Strengths of team: Having 8 new athletes joining the gymnastics program, means depth within the team. Because of this depth, the team will be able to utilize a variety of athletes for each event, working as a strength for the team. The endless encouragement and support each of the girls have for eachother never hurts.

Areas that need improvement: For a good amount of the gymnasts, it is their “off season” from club gymnastics, and they are therefore working to advance their skill level. Due to this, the challenge will be getting these gymnasts competition-ready with routines in place.

Outlook:  Last fall, the Indians gymnastics team flew high and awed everyone with a phenomenal season. The team had created something of themselves when they won first place in their league (B), won first place at  the Wayne Classic Tournament, third place in the County, and third place in Section. Now moving up to North Jersey Gymnastics League A, the team will look to use the diversity of skills that the gymnasts have, to yet again, have another remarkable season.

Coach’s comment: “A few girls are recovering from  injuries and we are still unsure of their health status. As long as we stay healthy, we are going to be competitive again with the top teams in the section.”
