ALL GAMES CANCELED/POSTPONED
Tuesday (5/17)
Girls Softball @ Tenafly (WIN) 6-0
PV shuts down a tough 16-4 Tenafly team. PV came into the game strong which allowed momentum throughout the whole game. PV only gave up 5 hits throughout the game, and Tenafly gave up 13 hits.
Boys Tennis @ Old Tappan (LOSS) 4-1
PV was unable to defeat Old Tappan. Ethan Ganz, however, was able to win his match which avoided the shutout.
Boys Baseball vs. North Highlands (WIN) 7-4
Early in the game, PV went down 1-0, which would be the only run that starting pitcher Andrew Wallace would give up through 4 innings. Being down early didn’t stop them from coming back and winning the game. Evan Biener had 2 big sac flies, driving in 1 run each. Charlie Saul had a big game with a double to the fence and a big homerun, giving PV some breathing room.
Wednesday (5/18)
Boys Baseball vs. Hackensack (TIE) 6-6
Senior day did not go as planned. PV came out of the game slow, going down 3-1 after the first. They were able to chop back and tie it in the 7th. After 8 innings, the game was called a tie, bringing PV’s record to 12-8-1.
Boys Lacrosse @ West Milford (LOSS) 8-7
(First round of NJSIAA Tournament, North Jersey Group 2)
Unfortunately, the boys lacrosse team did not go out as they planned. They took a devastating loss to West Milford in the first round of the NJSIAA Tournament with a score of 8-7. This ended their season 7-10. Evan Leili led the team this game with 2 goals and 2 assists.
Thursday (5/19)
Girls Lacrosse @ Mendham (LOSS) 17-6
(First round of NJSIAA Tournament, North Jersey Group 2)
Unfortunately, PV girls lacrosse lost in a big game against a 6-10 Mendham. Sarah Urrea led PV with 3 goals.

NJSIAA Tournament, Quarterfinal Round, North Jersey, Section 1, Group 3
PV’s girls softball team unfortunately took a very close loss to 19-1 Montville in the Quarterfinal Round of the North Jersey NJSIAA tournament. Ashley Diaz and Ava Battinelli both recorded one hit throughout the game.
Boys Baseball vs. Ramapo (WIN) 4-0
In just the first inning, PV was able to record 4 runs. These would be the only runs scored all game by both teams. Lefty freshman pitcher JT Deriso took the mound against Ramapo and threw a shutout game before the lightning alarm later went off.
