Season 1 of “All American” premiered on Oct. 10, 2018, and ever since it has been a fan favorite. This show is about football, family, friendship, and overcoming adversity and is based on the true story of Spencer Paysinger.
On Feb. 3 Season 7 of “All American” will begin, with a trailer being aired on Jan. 29. Before discussing my predictions for Season 7 of “All American”, let’s go back to the previous six seasons.
Summary of “All American” seasons one through six:
“All American” is a TV Series that follows the life of Spencer James. Spencer originally went to South Crenshaw High but transfers to Beverly Hills High after being recruited by its football coach, Billy Baker. He faces challenges on and off the field. For his senior year, Spencer transfers back to South Crenshaw High and deals with the loss of his father. Throughout high school, Spencer deals with pressure, expectations, relationships, and the loss of loved ones. When he goes to college, his problems do not leave him—they arguably get worse. He has to deal with his troubled past, along with the press and fame. Spencer eventually tackles all these problems and gets drafted into the NFL and has a successful rookie year.
Main Characters:
Spencer James (S1-S6): The main character, a star football player from South Crenshaw, who transfers to Beverly Hills High
Olivia Baker (S1-S6): Student at Beverly Hills High who becomes Spencer’s first friend at his new school
Jordan Baker (S1-S6): Star Quarterback for Beverly Hills High
Billy Baker (S1-S5): Father of Olivia and Jordan. Billy is the head football coach at Beverly Hills High and takes Spencer under his wing. He dies in season 5, trying to save one of his players from a bus accident
Laura Baker (S1-S6): Wife of Billy, who almost leaves him, but ends up fixing their relationship
J.J. Parker (S1-S6): Funny, outgoing guy, who serves as a source of humor in the group
Asher Adams (S1-S6): A former star player, who faces challenges both on and off the field

Coop (S1-S6): A close friend of Spencer, who is struggling with gang violence and addiction
Patience (S1-S6): Coop’s girlfriend, who is a growing musician
Grace James (S1-S6): Spencer’s mom, who is protective and wants the best for him
Preach (S1-S6): A former gang member, who becomes a mentor to everyone
Five Predictions for Season 7:
- Jordan continues Billy’s legacy: With the death of Billy Baker in Season 5, and Jordan Baker’s football career coming to an end in Season 6, Jordan accepted a coaching job at South Crenshaw High. Jordan will continue the Baker legacy at South Crenshaw High, and become an even better coach than his dad.
- Laura Baker finds a new love: When Billy Baker dies, Laura cannot bring herself together; however, everyone eventually moves on. Just like how Grace James found new love after the passing of Corey James, Laura will do the same.
- Billy’s Brother joins Jordan: While helping Olivia pack, Jordan comes across Billy’s old Crenshaw coaching binder. Excited to review his dad’s plays, Jordan found a baby photo of Billy’s older half-brother. This person, who was never seen before, will make an appearance in Season 7 and help Jordan win a championship for South Crenshaw High.
- Spencer’s Ex Returns: After ending things with Spencer, due to him still having feelings for Olivia, Alicia will return this season. She will possibly possibly want a second chance with Spencer after seeing his success.
- Coop stays at GAU: At the end of Season 6, Coop got accepted into the law program at GAU, along with the law program at Yale University. She will stay at GAU in order to remain close to her family and friends.
