The lowdown: At the Manhattan Invitational, Ashley was up against the best runners on the east coast. She came in 30th out of 142 against various runners from states like Rhode Island, Connecticut, New York, Virginia, among others. Ashley and the girls’ cross country team has the Big North League Championship coming up on October 14, and they’ve been training all week. She looks to further cement her status then. “My goal is to try to break a personal record there.”
Coach’s Comment: “She’s been a role model for the whole team. She hasn’t taken one day off since the summer. It’s nice to see that her hard work is translating to success.” – Russ Grier.
What she likes most about XC: “I like racing at Darlington, easier course. You’re on gravel, sand pavement, and the hills are not as steep. I also like getting personal records”
Previous Athlete of the Week?: She was athlete of the week along with three other runners in her relay. “It was me Abby Lee, Chelsea Lee, and Nikki Criscuolo.”
Favorite Movie: Cinderella Story
Favorite Musical Artists: Taylor Swift, Drake, Halsey, Chance the Rapper. “I’m a fan of rap music. I like all the normal stuff to, like all the hits.”

Favorite Things About her Coaches: “I like’s how all the coaches are pretty laid back. Murt is crazy.”

Future Plans: “I’ll probably going to end up running at URI (Rhode Island) or High Point University.”
