Favorite Cheer Memory: “This year, our senior year, I personally feel like it was our best year, everyone got along the best, we were the most successful, and it was just like the most fun,” Padovan said. “We are all really close with our coach. We connected with her. We connected with the underclassmen really quick, so I think just this year as a whole was my favorite memory.” The girls cited kidnap, a traditional where the upperclassmen “kidnap” the underclassmen for a night, and their annual trip to a cheerleading camp in Pennsylvania as particularly fun memories.

Proudest Moment:

Best Thing About PV: Martinez mentioned that she loved the support that the student body gives to the sports teams and the environment at PV sporting events.

How They Got Into Cheerleading:

Competitions vs. Being on the Sidelines:

How Hard is it to Master the Routines:

Who on the cheer team is the funniest? Donne, Padovan, Martinez, and Garrett all agreed that Luisi was the funniest girl on the team. “I try to make everyone laugh and have fun, because practice is usually like very strict, but we also have to have fun,” Luisi said.  The girls mentioned that sophomore Erica Masseria was funny, as well.

Who on the cheer team is the most intense? Allison Garrett. “It’s a good intense,” Martinez said. “She is like a very good cheerleader, so she brings an element of like ‘okay we have to.’ She’s my flier, actually, so if we almost dropped her, she would be like ‘you’re not dropping me,’ but we never fell because of her.”

Who on the cheer team is loudest on the bus rides? Padovan. Padovan picks the music for the bus rides, and often sings along to songs, especially Cardi B and Camp Rock.
