Boys lacrosse looks to build on strength in midfield for success

The boys lacrosse team works on their defense. The boys look to build off strong midfield and depth.

Coach: Matt Will (5th Year)

Last year’s record: 11-9

Key Returners: Charlie Haller (Sr.), Daniel Ax (Sr.), Donald Duffus (Jr.), Ben Torres (Sr.), Joe Massaro (Jr.), Colin Foley (Sr.), Owen Deady (Sr.)

Key Losses: Nate Lewis, Roman Adams 

Strength and Weakness of team: “[Our] strength is our athleticism at midfield. We have fast guys who can play and can outrun people,” Will said. “What we need to work on is our defense, as we are replacing guys who have played for a long time.”

Outlook on the season: “We just need to play up to our potential and we can win the league and get a top-four seed in the state tournament,” Will said.

Noah Reiser is a senior who joined the Valley Echo his sophomore year. He started as a sports writer and is now one of the Lead Sports Editors for this year’s staff. Noah has always been passionate about writing and sports, whether for a class or the Valley Echo. During his time at Pascack Valley, Noah played on the soccer and baseball teams his freshman year and is a current member of the Varsity Basketball Team. He has also been a part of Camp Raspberry, Yearbook, Investment Club, and the National Honors Society. Noah looks to continue his writing and editing production, exploring the various stories that involve Pascack Valley sports.
