Girls Soccer dominates over Tenafly
The Pascack Valley Girls soccer team (6-5-1) looked to bounce back after a tough home loss to rival Old Tappan (9-3-2) by a score of 4-0 on last Tuesday.
The team’s next opponent would be on Friday night, and it would take the Indians on the road against division opponent Tenafly (2-8-3). Earlier in the season the girls had a 4-2 home victory against the Tigers, and looked to dominate this game as well.
As expected the Indians dominated throughout the entirety of the game and rolled to a 5-0 victory over Tenafly. Goal scorers in the game were Elizabeth Spadafino (So.) with 2 goals, Arianna Quevedo (Fr.) with 1 goal, Chelsea Lee (Sr.) with 1 goal, and Izzy Bussanich (So.) also had 1 goal. To add to that, Chloe Witt (Jr.) had 2 assists in the Indians victory over Tenafly.
The Girls next game will be a battle of two controversial mascots, as the Pascack Valley Indians will take on division rival Northern Valley Demarest Norsemen (5-7) at home this Thursday night at 7 p.m. The girls will be looking to continue the momentum they gained from their rout over Tenafly, and use it against the Norsemen this Thursday night.
