Girls soccer falls to Old Tappan
It was a tough challenge and tough night for the Pascack Valley girls (5-5-1) who faced up against Northern Valley Old Tappan (8-2-2) Tuesday afternoon. These two teams were both 4-0-1 in the league.
The Indians were coming off a very tough overtime loss to a very good River Dell team in the first round of the county tournament. They were looking to get back into the regular season with a victory and do it in front of the home fans.
Things did not get off to a great start as Old Tappan score a goal early in the first half off the goal post into a foot of an attacker which was kicked into the net. Valley created some great opportunities off the corner kicks in the first half but, just could not get past the goalkeeper to get a goal on the board. The Golden Knights went on to score again later in the first half after a deflection in front of the net.
NVOT went on to score two more goals in the second half. Valley played hard and stayed with the opponent for most of the match, but a few unfortunate bounces and long distance shots helped Old Tappan get a victory with a final score of 4-0. The girls will travel to Clifton (12-0) and look to get back over .500.

That was one of the most informative sport articles I have read in a long time.
Congrats to the writer Billy Lyons.
