Girls soccer looks to continue dominance
The Indians homestand comes to an end with a loss to IHA
The girls soccer team continue to dominate on the field this week, going against Indian Hills this past Friday was a situation proved to be no different than many before.
Finally back home, the team played hard and it proved to be a great game with a big turnout. Despite the circumstances, the Indians fell in a heartbreaker to a good Indian Hills team in the games in the final minutes 1-0, with the assist of a controversial penalty kick call.
The girls fought hard throughout the game, they were successful in keeping Indian Hills out of the zone and with the help of goalie Gina Criscuolo kept they them from putting it in the back in the net. But the Indians could not capitalize on their own opportunities, getting shutout by the Braves.
Last night, the team played nationally-ranked IHA at home. It was another rainy day, and it was another tough opponent for the Indians. Pascack Valley was able to play with IHA for the most part, shutting them out in the first half, but they couldn’t hold on in the second half. The Blue Eagles scored 4 goals leading them to a victory over the Indians 4-0. It was another great performance by goalie Gina Criscuolo, although the score did not indicate that.
After these two tough losses the girls are now 4-2-1, as they end their home stand at 1-2.
This Week: The team will look to bounce back on the road at Hackensack on Friday, October 2, at 4:15 p.m.
