Coach Ken DelSanto looks on from the bench. He will lead the PV/PR/PH Ice Hockey team again this year, which is now made up of students from Pascack Valley, Pascack Hills, and Park Ridge.

Coach: Ken DelSanto, 8th Season

Last year’s record: 7-17-1

Key Returners: Alex Sullivan (Sr.), Michael Donofrio (So.), Aidan Tuffy (Sr.), Jake Zuzeck (Jr.), Matt Mugno (Sr.)

Key Losses: Steve Brennan, Rob Sheehan, AJ Helfenbein

Key Newcomers: Daniel Antal (Fr.), Max Richards (Fr.), Cam Ramirez (Fr.)

Strength of team: The team has a lot of returning defensemen this year, including Sullivan and Donorfrio. Also, the team should continue to have strong play in net, even with the loss of Brennan, who saved over 2500 shots during his career, as freshman Daniel Antal and senior Sean Wertheim will step in to take his place.

Weakness of team: As was the case last year, scoring may be an issue for the team.

Coach’s Comment: “We have the potential to be successful and we’ll be able to determine that in the first few games,” DelSanto said. “We are poised to get back into the state tournament, which we haven’t been in a few years.”

Recent Development: In year’s past, Pascack Valley and Pascack Hills have combined to form the Pascack Regional ice hockey team. However, for the first time this year, Park Ridge High School will join PV and PH. The team will now be known as PV/PH/PR Ice Hockey.
