Holocaust Remembrance Trip begins in Munich

Journal Entry 4/4/15 (Tyler Halligan): The group starts off the week in Munich, located in Bavaria, which is the largest federal state of Germany. The lion is the state’s symbol and is so prevalent in Munich that from one town square we counted 40 lions. Lions, and Tigers, and Bears… OH MY!

Journal Entry 4/4/15 (Tyler Halligan): Walking through the streets of Munich, the group can’t help but feel as if they’ve transported back in time. Munich’s city centre has been comprehensively restored after 70% of the old town centre was destroyed by Allied bombing in World War II.
