Indians prevail over Wayne Hills in first round of playoffs
Girls basketball team advances to quarterfinals on Wednesday
The girls basketball team defeated Wayne Hills by a score of 60-48 at home Thursday night in the first round of the North 1, Group 3 state sectional playoffs.
Junior Kelly Andreasen lit up the Patriots, scoring 18 points while getting her teammates open looks throughout the game. She was not alone, as senior NYU commit Sofia Battista was a force on both sides of the ball, putting up 22 points and 5 blocks in the winning effort.
For Wayne Hills, the leading scorer was Sam Graf, who put up 22 points in the loss.
