New Recreational Soccer League to begin this fall
Who remembers playing recreational soccer in middle and elementary school? So many PV students still love to play sports, but are unable to make the huge commitment that PV sports teams require or do not enjoy the competitive nature of a high school team.
However, recreational leagues are no longer a part of the past for students in their sophomore year or above.
This coming fall, The Pascack Valley Youth Soccer League (PVYSL) has added a less competitive, co-ed Recreational Soccer League for grades ten through twelve.
It will be known as “The Bobby Smith Memorial League” starting this coming fall. The league hopes to welcome back some familiar faces from old teams but also hopes to meet some new ones, so it does not matter how much experience a player has. Anyone can join the league and be part of a team either way.
Games will most likely take place on Saturday and/or Sunday afternoons.
Registration is open: select “soccer outdoor” from the drop down menu and pick Bobby Smith Memorial League. Signing up early will help avoid any late fees.
