What is the Thanksgiving Banquet?

According to New York City Rescue Mission, hundreds of men, women and children in need for a day of encouragement and hope are welcomed to this event.

The organization’s website states that “each guest receives a hot meal and will enjoy live entertainment to lift their spirits.”

Pascack Valley will have a collection box in the mail room and more fundraising opportunities including a bake sale. Anyone interested can donate and/or contribute to PV’s upcoming fundraisers.

Valley is working with Just About Caring, or JAC, in order to raise money to donate to NYC Rescue Mission over the next few weeks. Last year, this mission served 1,000 meals to the hungry on Thanksgiving.

With the money PV raises, it’s possible to provide a Thanksgiving Dinner for those in need:

$300 feeds 105 people

$500 feeds 174 people

$1,000 feeds 348 people
