Baseball: Game at Pascack Valley High School

Pascack Valley: 2, Teaneck: 0

Valley’s runs came from an RBI double from junior Carson Weiss to drive in juniors Riley Weiss and Jack Devanna. Riley Weiss and Devanna both hit singles to get on base. Mike Pimpinella pitched 5 2/3 innings and kept Teaneck away from scoring any runs. Matt Novakowski also added a double for the team. A rather offensively quiet night for both teams, PV was able to stick it out for the win. Now on a three-game winning streak, the team is home against Bergenfield tomorrow.

Softball: Game at Thomas Jefferson Middle School in Teaneck

Pascack Valley: 10, Teaneck: 7

En route to a 10-7 victory, Rhode Island bound senior Alex Pleasic obtained her 100th hit as an Indian. Freshman Cara McMahon pitched her first varsity game, providing a much needed performance in the pitching rotation. Both Pleasic and McMahon hit home runs to boost the Indians’ offensive attack at the plate. Now 3-2, the softball team looks to take down Paramus on Wednesday in Paramus.

For the boys, Sean Keohane got 1st in the 100 meter sprint, Evan Jones got 1st in the 400 meter and 200 meter sprint, and Jeff Roberts got 1st in the 1600 and 3200 meter races. For the girls, Hana Shapiro got first in the long jump, Ashley Evans got first in the 1600 and 3200 meter races, Melissa Purcell got 2nd in the pole vault, and Lauren Hussey, Jess Himmelman, Marlo Guastello, and Jess Zevits placed 2nd in the 4×400 meter relay.

Tennis: The Tennis Team’s match against Teaneck was postponed today, as Teaneck was on spring break and couldn’t make a roster.
