October 2022 Valley Cup highlights
On Oct. 7, Pascack Valley High School held its first indoor Valley Cup since 2019.
This month’s Valley Cup events included: a relay race, scavenger hunt, and volleyball tournament. The PV Drumline performed, as well.
In the relay race, each class had one person eat a pie. Once that was completed, another student, who was blindfolded, was guided to the basketball hoop by a companion to help them make a shot into the basketball hoop. Then, students raced across the gym floor on scooters with a football. They then had to kick the football across the court into the goal. The first team to make a goal won.
The Senior Class (2023) won the relay race.
For the scavenger hunt, the president and vice president of each class were on the hunt for a quality or object that a student in the crowd had. Whichever class found the quality or object first won the round. The rounds included the presidents and vice presidents looking for a set of twins, someone wearing green face paint, and someone with an Android phone.
The Freshman Class (2026) won the scavenger hunt
The last event was the volleyball tournament. The first game was the Junior Class versus the Freshman Class. After the win by the freshmen, the Senior Class had a game against the Sophomore Class. The seniors continued to the finals after beating out the sophomores.
The final game was the Senior Class versus the Freshman Class.
The seniors won the volleyball tournament. In the end, the emcees (Rowan Gokhale and Tori Criscuolo) announced that the seniors had won the most points overall for the Valley Cup.
