Coach: Dena Noone
Last year’s accomplishments: Nationals, National champs in Pom, 4th in Team Performance, 5th in Hip Hop
Key Returners: Sam Forrest (Sr.), Emma Brazofsky (Sr.), Abby Fox (Sr.), Olivia Mattesich (Sr.), Caitlyn Johnson (Sr.), Zoe Grabow (Hills) (Sr.), Lily Memija (Hills) (Sr.), and Gia Macaluso (Jr.)
Key Losses: Madison Sgroi, Sophia Haag, Lisa Degise, Sienna Bruno, Jessie Maron
Strength of the team: Coach Noone believes the strength of the team is their togetherness and willingness to compete. “They all rely on each other,” Noone said.
Weakness of the team: “[We are] inexperienced [with] nine returners and seven new girls, so it is half on half,” Noone said. “It is very different to never be on the national stage and [it can be] nerve-racking.”
Outlook on the season: “I have big expectations [and] would like to win two national titles: Pom and Team Performance,” Noone said.
Coach’s Comment: Pascack Valley’s dance coach Dena Noone says they are going to live by the quote “Never me, always we” throughout the 2024 season. She also mentions it is not easy what these girls do, and they deserve a lot of credit.
