Sally Frishberg tells students about her life during the Holocaust on Wednesday, March 4. She arrived in the United States in 1947, and since then, New York state has awarded her with the Yavner Award for Excellence in Holocaust Education.

Holocaust survivor Sally Frishberg was born in Poland in 1934 and lived with German soldiers during World War II. At 8 years old, she slept in fields and hid in an attic for two years with 11 people to escape from the Nazis.
