Player Profile: Michael Lin
Junior Michael Lin has been playing soccer since he was able to walk. Lin also has been wearing number 11 since he can remember too, it seems like 11 is the magic number because that is also the number of goals he has scored so far.
While he prefers to play forward, Lin plays midfield as well, next to Ryan Miller. But nothing stops Lin from leaving all he has out on the field, “The anticipation before and after a game is intense. I’m usually feeling good before a game, but I do get nervous. I give it my all so after a tough game, I feel exhausted.”
When asked about what he loved most about soccer, he said “I just love the game. I’ve been playing with a lot of these guys for years now.” In addition to playing soccer for 3 years at Pascack Valley, Lin also plays for the basketball team.
Coach Nygren agrees that Lin certainly gives it his all, “Watching the team play is exciting, and watching him play is just as exciting. When paired with Ryan Miller, the two can surgically cut through any defense and be successful. Lin works well with Miller, Alex Lin, and Andrew Varteresian.”
