PV’s Interdistrict Band Festival took place on Tuesday, April 14 at 7 p.m.

At this festival, the PV Band got a chance to perform with the bands from Holdrum Middle School and George G. White Middle School for the first time.

The middle schools had previously prepared individual compositions, which were not based on the high school song choice. Some of the pieces that the PV Band performed at the festival were “Prelude and Primal Danse” (wind ensemble), “Legend of Pirates Cove” (symphonic band), “Propulsion” (symphonic band), and “Procession of Sorcerors” (wind ensemble).

The high school portion ended with a selection of songs that were only performed by the jazz ensemble.

“We have prepared the music last week. It is music that we have handed out and have practiced since January,” Mr. Joseph Zajac, the band director here at PV, said.
