PV junior raises awareness for Indian farmer suicides
Junior, Matt Killian, plays an instrument while walking during the second half of the event.
Chandni Shah, a PV junior, held a Pascack Period event yesterday on the turf field to raise awareness for Indian farmer suicides.
“When I went to a village in India, I experienced everything firsthand. Seeing everything they were going through just blew my mind,” Shah said.
The event consisted of music, a fair for PV clubs to advertise themselves, followed by a walk around the track.
Admission was $2 and the money raised will be donated to help stop Indian farmer suicides.
