PV track putting best foot forward

Boys and girls track got off onto a good start at their season opener last Wednesday at Old Tappan.

While Old Tappan may have beaten the Indians this match, Pascack Valley still did very well in general. With Chelsea Lee placing first in the 1,600, Katie Muccio placing second in the 400 hurdles, and Abby Lee placing second in the 400 dash. the PV girls also came in first place in the 4x400m relay (Chelsea Lee, Abby Lee, Ashley Evans, and Marlo Guastella) .

Other recognitions for the girls included Rita Kochakian, who took third place in the 100, and Abby Lee, who grabbed second place in the 200.

The boys also did exceptionally well, placing in almost every event. AJ Hall took second place for the 100 and 800, Nurlan Herburger was second in the 1600, and Evan Jones was second in the 400. The PV boys also came in first place for the 4×400 relay (Jones, Herburger, Jeff Roberts, Hall) as well.

Other recognitions for the boys included Paul Yoo in third place for the 400 hurdles and second place for the 100 hurdles, and Sean Keohane in third for the 400 dash.

The Indians will be at the Bergen County Relays at River Dell High School on Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday.
