The Pascack Valley Volleyball team edged out a victory over Northern Valley Old Tappan in three sets on Wednesday at Pascack Valley. The match was hard fought by both teams and resulted in some thrilling points.

Sophomore Tegan Feeley and Junior Noelle Solimano made big plays for Valley in all three sets.

“We had to change things up at the end [because] Nicole Buckley is out and she is usually our starting right outside,” Coach Rivera said. “So, we [brought] Tegan up from JV.”

Northern Valley Old Tappan did go up 1-0 on sets, however Valley was able to win the last two sets off of leadership from both Senior Sabrina Hirsch and Junior Sabrina Arcilla.

Valley’s student presence was also very strong throughout the game.

“We played up to our standard [when we were] under pressure,” Junior Taylor Grady said. “We played amazing.”

“We tried to eliminate the errors, [especially] the service errors, and we did a pretty good job at that,” Rivera said.

Valley looks to continue their winning ways against Ridgewood in Ridgewood at 5:30p.m on Friday.
