PV Choir Director named Bergen County Governor’s Educator of the Year
Mrs. Argine Safari, the Choir, Bro Squad, and Music Theory teacher here at Pascack Valley, received the title of Bergen County Governor’s Educator of the Year during the first half of lunch on May 2.
“I’m just beyond excited for her. She totally deserves [this recognition]; she’s done so much for us. I’m just so thrilled that she was recognized in our county the way that she should be,” Joel Noonan, a senior and Co-President of PV’s Choir Board, said.
She was chosen unanimously by the committee that evaluated the candidates for the said award. It is likely that Safari be competing for the title of New Jersey State Educator of the Year as Bergen County’s representative.
“I really feel honored that I have the opportunity to change lives everyday. More importantly, I am really proud of my students because they remind me how much what I do matters. I just feel very lucky and I love what I do,” Safari said.
