Sports Nightly Wrap-Up 4/15/16
Baseball: Game Vs. Hackensack at Hackensack High School
The baseball team lost today to Hackensack 6-4. Valley got off to a hot start as the team took a 4-1 lead early but a 5-run 4th inning by Hackensack gave the Comets the lead for good.
Next Game: On Wednesday, the Indians play Ridgewood at home.
Softball: Game Vs. Hackensack at Pascack Valley High School
Pascack Valley dropped a rough game against Hackensack as the Indians fell 11-3. Senior Alex Pleasic started on the mound and freshman Cara McMahon also pitched in the game, but keeping runs off the scoreboard was a major struggle. Some positives from the game came from Senior Ashley Lagrosa who homered and Izzy Bussanich who flashed the leather when she turned a marvelous double play.
Next Game: Saturday April 16, the Indians play at Mahwah High School at 12 p.m.
Boys Tennis: Match Vs. Northern Highlands at Pascack Valley High School
The Pascack Valley Boys Tennis Team continued their struggles today in their match against Northern Highlands as they lost 5-0. Junior Austin Davis lost his match by a score of 6-3, 6-2. Meanwhile, Alex Robinson fell as he lost 6-1, 6-4. Ethan Zindel, playing 3rd singles lost 3-6, 3-6. Jordan Lauber and Jeremy Collier lost 1-6, 1-6 at 1st doubles and at 2nd doubles Josh Cohn and Adam Aloi were defeated 0-6, 1-6.
Next Match: Pascack Valley will play Hackensack on Monday at Pascack Valley High School.
Golf: Match Vs. Paramus Catholic at Orchard Hills Golf Course
The Pascack Valley golf team beat Paramus Catholic by a score of 171-185. The team played well throughout the match and got the victory. Will Gallagher shot a 39, Rob Carcich and Tyler Farrell both shot a 43 and Calvin Ralph shot a 47. The Indians now reach the 500 mark at 4-4.
Next Match: The Indians will play Demarest on Monday and the match will be played at Alpine Country Club.
