Sports Nightly Wrap Up 4/8/16
Tennis: Demarest at Pascack Valley
The Pascack Valley boys tennis team had a rough Friday. In the first match, Austin Davis lost (0-6, 1-6) to one of NJ’s best, Mike Rosenvaser, who is ranked number two in the state. Next up was Alex Robinson, who did not have much success either (0-6, 3-6). Then came Jeremy Collier, who again came up short (0-6, 3-6). Then came the doubles match. First up was Ethan Zindel and Jordan Lauber. Zindel and Lauder had mild success (3-6, 3-6). Lastly, Adam Aloi and Alec Corring lost as well (1-6, 2-6). The tennis team is 0-2 to start out the season.

Softball: Tenafly at Pascack Valley
Pascack Valley: 14-4
The Pascack Valley softball team bats came alive on a chilly Friday night. Scoring 14 runs, Valley dominated the game both offensively and defensively. Alex Pleasic was on the mound, and pitched very well for the Valley. The Indians are now 2-2 on the season, and will look to continue continue this momentum moving forward.

Baseball: Tenafly at Tenafly High School
Pascack Valley: 12-5
The Indians have now won two straight, after a demanding win over Tenafly. The Indians came out strong in the 1st, scoring 3 runs in the first, thanks to junior Matt Novakowski’s homerun. The Indians did not let up, and continued their dominance throughout the rest of the game. Riley Weis hit a home run with two men on in the 5th, which pretty much secured the win for the Indians, even though the team tacked on a couple more in the 7th. Nick Verost was on the hill for the Indians. The Indians are now 2-1 on the season.
