Students learn about teen dating violence at “Love Isn’t” Fair
Former PV student and anti-sexual assault advocate Summer McSpirit speaks at the "Love Isn't" Fair.
During Pascack Period on May 11, PV students gathered in the old gym to attend a fair organized by a new PV club, “Love Isn’t.” This club was founded by Mr. Matt Morone’s period 7 Honors English as a classroom project dedicated to raising awareness about teen dating violence. The fair was highlighted by guest speaker and former Pascack Valley alumnus Summer McSpirit, who shared her personal story about sexual assault in college and taught students valuable lessons she learned from her experiences. The fair also included a self-defense class, a photo booth, laptops for viewing the “Love Isn’t” documentary, informational booths, and of course, free food for all who attended.
