Talent show to benefit PV Choir
PV singers, instrumentalists, actors and dancers will take to the stage this Thursday as PV choir will present its Talent Show in the PV auditorium.
All proceeds will benefit PV choirs in their future endeavors, including the award-winning Chamber Choir’s upcoming International Competition in Dublin, Ireland.
All attendees are invited to wear their Halloween costumes (school appropriate, of course). A committee of six VIPs — Ms. Karen Kosch, Ms. Noemi Rodriguez, Mr. Will Lynch, Mr. Bill Rawson, Mr. Tom DeMaio, and Ms. Argine Safari — will select three winners (solo or groups), who will receive a prize.
The night will kick off with a “cocktail hour” at 6:30 p.m., as guests will be entertained by PV’s Music Honor Society students performing background music in the lobby. During this time, everyone will have a chance to browse through an incredible variety of approximately 35 raffle baskets, thanks to the PV Chamber Choir and its generous sponsors.
The collection of themed baskets will include “Fashionista,” “Music Lovers,” “Piano Extravaganza,”, “Babysitting,” “Pamper Yourself,” “No Cooking for a Week,” “Prom Perfect” (for both males and females), “Jewelry,” “Homemade Baklava,” and “NJ Sports Basket.” Faculty members unable to attend the show in the evening will have the opportunity to browse through the baskets and bid on silent auction items all day Thursday in the PV choir room.
Some items and gift certificates included are: four tickets to the Giants game with a parking pass, private voice, piano, violin, guitar, bass, language lessons, local area restaurant gift certificates, spa gift certificates, fashion items from Dooney and Bourke, Coach, Kate Spade, Furla, Anthropology, Vera Bradley, and Ann Taylor. Attendees can also win a live performance/reception music for their own private party by PV’s Bro Squad, Chamber Choir, or Royal Violins, a classic professional violin duo.
