Last year’s record: 23-9 (9-1 in Big North)

Key returners: JT Deriso (Sr.), Brendan Gaskin (Jr.), Luke Good (Sr.), Justin Kaplan (Sr.), Trevor Kirkby (Sr.),  Colin McMorrow (Jr.), James Narlinger (Sr.), Joe Tammaro (Sr.)

Key newcomers: “There are some seniors on our team who are trying to earn some time if they can,” Lynch said. “They played JV last year, and they’re trying to figure out if they can help us.” Lynch added that, “There are also some sophomores who can maybe help us and contribute.”

Key losses: “We lost some kids on the mound, but the reality is we have a lot of kids coming back,” Lynch said. “We only lost one kid who played in the field last year.”

Strength of the team:  “Our returning players [are our strength],” Lynch stated.

Weakness of the team: “I hope we aren’t overconfident,” Lynch said. “…We’re predicted to do a lot of things, and I need to not let [the team] read too much into what other people think about us.”

Outlook on the season:  “I look to compete every single day,” Lynch said. “…Don’t give anybody anything for free. If we do that, we’ll be okay.”

Coach’s comment: “We have put together a pretty competitive schedule,” Lynch stated.  “…We have all the big boys [on our schedule], so…let’s go play. ”
