Strength of the team: “We have played together for a full year,” Bacsik said. “We will be in pretty similar positions [as last season]. [The girls] have a great positive attitude.”
Weakness of the team: “I think they have a lot of potential,” Bacsik said. “They just need to be confident at the plate.”
Outlook on the season: “I have a lot of confidence in this group of girls,” Bacsik stated. She wants the team to make it far in the county and state tournaments and win the league: “I think they are very capable of [these goals],” Bacsik added.
Coach’s comment: “They’re a great group of girls,” Bacsik said. “It’s nice to see a shift in the softball mentality. They’re goofy, but they know when to be serious, and I think they are going to take it far this year. I’m excited.”
