The Tri-M Induction Ceremony and Concert was held on Thursday, Jan. 8 to welcome this year’s new Tri-M members. Tri-M is an International Music Honor Society for both choir and band students. Each of the students inducted have shown leadership, dedication, and a powerful love of music during their experiences in choir or band classes. Several of these students are also members or participants of Bergen County Choir 2014-2015, the All-State Opera Festival 2014-2015, All-State Choir 2014-2015, and All-National Choir 2014-2015.
“Anyone who becomes a part of the Tri-M family within music and band will really never forget these years,” said Hana Shapiro, a Social Media Promotions Officer of the Tri-M Board.
Eight musical performances by various Tri-M members immediately followed the ceremony, and later a group of three guest artists, a Jazz Trio, performed as well. Refreshments were served in the lobby after the ceremony.
