Tri-M Music Honor Society to host first-ever Harvest Festival
The Pascack Valley Tri-M Music Honor Society is hosting its first-ever Tri-M Harvest Festival in the PV lecture hall on Wednesday, Oct. 16, at 7 p.m. Students and members of Tri-M will be performing to raise money for kids’ music programs in underprivileged schools across the United States.
The Pascack Valley Tri-M Music Honor Society will be hosting its first-ever Harvest Festival in the PV lecture hall on Wednesday, Oct. 16, at 7 p.m. Students and members of Tri-M will be performing, prizes will be given out, and food will be available for $5 admission to the event.
“We wanted it to be a cozy coffee house setting,” PV senior and Tri-M President Isabella Tjan said. “We are going to have apple cider, cinnamon sticks, and pumpkin and apple cider donuts. We just want it to be a really fun night.”
All proceeds made from the event will be donated to kids’ music programs in underprivileged schools across the United States. Tri-M hopes to spread awareness of the arts. Last year, Tri-M raised $600 for Little Kids Rock, a music education charity in public schools.
“[Tri-M] wants to promote music in our school and make people aware of the importance of the arts,” Tri-M advisor Argine Safari said. “We want to really showcase the talent in our school. I am looking to see a beautiful crowd and enjoy a wonderful night.”
