It is a personalized year in review of the music users listened to and provides statistics on their listening habits. Here are the Valley Echo Editors’ favorite music of the year.

Megan Austin, Social Media Editor

Megan Austin is the Social Media Editor for the Valley Echo, Pascack Valley High school’s student publication and has been for three years. She frequently enjoys visiting local restaurants to write food reviews and loves skiing in the Green Mountains. She proudly represents the publication with two articles published in the Pascack Press, as well.

Robert Colletti, Sports Editor

Robert Colletti, a Pascack Valley senior is the sports editor of the Valley Echo. He has been writing for the publication for a total of three years. He loves covering sports games and writing feature stories. When he's not writing for the Echo, Robert is mostly playing baseball or playing golf with his friends.

Carly Malamut, Copy Editor

Carly Malamut, a Pascack Valley senior is both the photo and copy editor of the Valley Echo. She has been writing for her school paper for the past three years. She loves to write both features and news articles! When she’s not writing for the Echo, Carly is most likely listening to Lana Del Rey and writing poetry outdoors.

Sophie Kolax, Staff Editor

Sophie Kolax is a senior and the Managing Editor at the Valley Echo. Her article "PV sophomore cast in movie" was published in the Pascack Press in 2020 and she was featured in Best of SNO (Student News Organization) for her article "Polish slave labor camp survivor reflects on WWII and the current violence in Ukraine." She's looking forward to her fourth year in the publication and continuing to spread news and stories in the Pascack Valley community. When she's not writing for the Echo, she enjoys reading fiction, listening to music, and traveling with her family.

Ethan Perlman, Editor In Chief

Ethan Perlman has been a part of the Valley Echo since his freshman year and has written multiple articles, including one that was included in the Pascack Press. He started as a sports writer, quickly became active in the sports writing department, then transitioned into an Assistant Sports Editor his sophomore year. In his Junior year, he was a co-Head Sports Editor of the Valley Echo, active in clubs such as the Investment Club, and DECA, while also being a representative on the student council. This year, he transitioned into an Co-Editor In Chief role, leading the Valley Echo to greater heights and accomplishents.He plays soccer and lacrosse for PV. He looks to continue his writing and editing production, exploring the various stories that involve PV life and sports.

Maya Schlessinger, Editor in Chief

Maya Schlessinger, Pascack Valley senior, is an avid writer of all things PV. Joining the Valley Echo sophomore year, she learned quickly and rose in the ranks to Editor in Chief by senior year. In this time, she has made over forty contributions to the site, ranging from articles to podcasts. Schlessinger lives for telling stories, and she has been writing tales of magical lands since she could first hold a pencil. As a HOBY NJ student ambassador, she put her leadership skills to use when creating a community service sewing club at school, Clothing for a Cause. After school, you can find her baking cookies, playing softball, or listening to Taylor Swift.
