On Saturday, The Pascack Valley Football Team defeated Paramus 42-0, improving its record to 5-1.
Valley scored the first points of the game with a 35-yard touchdown run by RB Kevin Regula (Sr.). Valley gained a 7-0 lead. Later, in the first quarter, Regula scored a three-yard rushing touchdown, giving the Panthers a 14-0 lead to end the first quarter.
In the second quarter, Regula had his third rushing touchdown of the game on a 10-yard run, extending the Valley lead to 21-0. QB Adam Shaw (Jr.) tacked on a 15-yard rushing touchdown to give Valley a 28-0 lead, which remained the score for the half.
In the third quarter, RB Kai Smith (Jr.) scored a 10-yard rushing touchdown to start the quarter, giving the Panthers a 35-0 lead. The score remained 35-0 for the quarter.
In the fourth quarter, the only score came by Smith, as he had a 14-yard rushing touchdown. Valley’s lead was extended to 42-0, which would be the final score.
Overall, on defense, Valley had three interceptions—one by DB Michael Colletti (Jr.), one by DB Marc Delaquilla (Jr.), and one by DB Michael Fronzaglia (Jr.).
Offensively, Adam Shaw completed 10 of his 15 passes for a total of 152 yards. He also had five carries for a total of 62 yards. Regula had 13 carries for 111 yards, while Smith had five carries for 37 yards.
Valley’s next game will be home on October 18th at 6 p.m. against River Dell.
