The Pascack Valley Football Team defeated River Dell 35-7 on Friday, Oct. 18, in the annual ‘Rumble for the Rail’ game, improving Valley’s record to 6-1.
Quarterback Adam Shaw (Jr.) led the way for Pascack Valley, throwing for 175 yards and four passing touchdowns.
Wide Receivers Dante DaCosta (Jr.) and Michael Fronzaglia (Sr.) each had two receiving touchdowns. The duo combined had 142 receiving yards, as well as a combined six catches.
In the first quarter, Dacosta caught two touchdown passes from Shaw. The score was 14-0 after the first quarter.
In the second quarter, DB Marc Dellaquila (Jr.) had an interception for Valley. The Panthers had two more touchdowns before halftime: the first was a touchdown pass by Shaw to WR Michael Fronzaglia (Sr.), and the second was a rushing touchdown by Shaw—making the score 28-0.
Valley added another touchdown in the fourth quarter as Fronzaglia caught another pass from Shaw, this time for 40-yards. River Dell scored a touchdown in the fourth quarte, to cut the lead to 35-7, and that score would remain for the rest of the game.
Valley is set to take on Old Tappan this Friday, Oct. 25, at 6 p.m., at Pascack Valley.
