In the second round of the “Rumble For The Rail” this season, the Pascack Valley Football Team defeated River Dell 38-0: this time in the NJSIAA North Jersey, Section 1, Group 3 Finals.
In the first quarter, Valley started the scoring with a 36-yard rushing touchdown from QB Adam Shaw (Jr.). Valley’s defense shut down River Dell, keeping the Hawks scoreless going into the second quarter.
In the second quarter, Shaw had a passing touchdown to WR Marc Dellaquila (Jr.). Then, in the final seconds of the quarter, Valley scored again on a rushing TD from Shaw. The score increased to 21-0 and remained this way into halftime.
In the third quarter, K Evan Starr (Sr.) gave Valley a 24-0 lead with a 34-yard field goal. There would be no other scoring in the third quarter, keeping the Valley lead at 24-0.
In the fourth quarter, RB Kevin Regula (Sr.) ran for an 11-yard touchdown, extending the lead to 31-0. DB Ashton Kazinci (Sr.) finished the scoring for Valley: he had a 73-yard pick six, increasing Valley’s lead to 38-0—the final score of the game.
Valley RB Kevin Regula (Sr.) and QB Adam Shaw (Jr.) each rushed for 100+ yards for the Valley offense.
On defense, DL Colin Krause (Sr.) and LB Dante Riccardi (Sr.) each recorded two sacks.
Valley will take on Old Tappan on Friday, Nov. 22 at 6 p.m., at Pascack Valley for the semi-finals of the NJSIAA Group 3 Tournament.
