This is the first edition of The Smoke Signal‘s new podcast, ValleyChat. In three different segments, host Jake Topolosky, a PV sophomore, talks about different aspects of the college application process, a situation relevant to many PV students.

He investigates college application essays, college interviews, the FAFSA, and federal student aid in these three segments.

Mr. Sean Struncis, the District Supervisor of Guidance and School Counseling Services, gives his opinions on each of these topics. He talks about writing with a genuine voice, being yourself in an interview, and explains what financial aid is in college.
