Boys Soccer vs. North Arlington | LOSS 4-1
The Boys Soccer Team fell 4-1 to North Arlington at home on Wednesday. Steven Gifford (Sr.) scored his 12th goal of the season for Valley. The next game for Valley is at home on Monday, Oct. 21 against Demarest.
Girls Soccer @ Northern Highlands | LOSS 3-0
The Girls Soccer Team fell 3-0 on the road at Northern Highlands in the first-round of the County Tournament.
Thursday 10/17
Girls Volleyball vs. St. Mary’s | WIN 2-0
The PV Volleyball Team won its first-round county game against St. Mary’s in straight sets (25-22, 25-20). Jillian Feeley (Sr.) led the way with 16 kills, while Maddy Romero (Jr.) had 16 digs, and Celia Torres (Jr.) had 14 assists.
Friday 10/18
Football vs. River Dell | WIN 35-7
The Football Team won 35-7 over River Dell in the annual Rumble for the Rail Game. Quarterback Adam Shaw (Jr.) had 175 yards passing, 97 yards rushing, and five total touchdowns—with four passing touchdowns and one rushing touchdown. Wide Receivers Dante DaCosta (Jr.) and Michael Fronzaglia (Sr.) each caught two touchdowns for Valley. The team moves to 6-1 and hosts Old Tappan on Friday night.
Saturday 10/19
Girls Soccer vs. Hasbrouck Heights | WIN 4-1
The Girls Soccer Team defeated Hasbrouck Heights, 4-1, at home on Saturday. Celina Bussanich (Sr.) and Avery Stein (So.) had two goals each, and Ella Saxon (Sr.) and Allie Polyniak (Jr.) each had two assists.
Volleyball vs. Glen Rock | WIN 2-0
The Volleyball Team defeated Glen Rock in straight sets (25-19, 25-18). Jillian Feeley (Sr.) had ten kills, Maddy Romero (Jr.) had ten digs, and Celia Torres (Jr.) had 17 assists. The Panthers now advance to play IHA at Northern Valley Old Tappan on Saturday, Oct. 26 at 2:30 p.m. for a spot in the County Championship.
