2/5 Monday

Boys Bowling @ Teaneck / WIN 7-0

Boys Bowling defeated Teaneck 7-0 to finish its season 11-2. Joe Devanna (Sr.) led the team, as he averaged 219 pins.

Girls Bowling @ Teaneck / WIN 7-0

Girls Bowling finished off its regular season with a 9-3 record, as they defeated Teaneck 7-0.

Wrestling vs. Sparta / LOSS 39-33

Wrestling lost in the NJSIAA Team Tournament, Quarterfinal Round, North Jersey, Section 1, Group 3, 39-33 to Sparta. Luke Stempkowski (Fr.), George Hamilton (Jr.), and Dylan Selvaggio (Fr.) all had pins in the match.

Boys Swimming vs. River Dell / WIN 89-81

Boys Swimming defeated River Dell in the NJSIAA Tournament, First Round, North 1, Group A, 89-81.

2/6 Tuesday

Girls Basketball @ Demarest | WIN 55-49

Pascack Valley Girls Basketball defeated Demarest, 55-49 in overtime. Ava Burke (Jr.) led Valley with 22 points, as she was 11/12 from the foul line. Raina Gibbs (Fr.) added 15 points, and Celina Bussanich (Jr.) had 7 points.

Boys Basketball vs. Demarest / LOSS 61-51

Boys Basketball fell to Demarest, 61-51. Devin Merker (Jr.) had 14 points. Trevor Kirkby (Jr.) and Ryan Shea (Jr.) each added 10 points as well in the loss.

Ice Hockey vs. Ridgewood / WIN 3-2

After losing to Ridgewood earlier in the season, Valley defeated them 3-2 in its rematch. Owen Dargan (So.) had 2 goals in the win, and Zach Groves (Sr.) added a goal.

2/7 Wednesday

Girls Swimming vs. Morristown | WIN 102-68

Coach Buchanan got his 100th career win as Girls Swimming defeated Morristown in the NJSIAA Tournament, Quarterfinal Round, North 1, Group A Tournament.

2/8 Thursday

Girls Swimming @ Livingston | LOSS 102-68

Girls Swimming season came to an end, as they lost 102-68 to Livingston in the NJSIAA Tournament, Quarterfinal Round, North 1, Group A Tournament. Valley finished its season with a record of 6-4.

Girls Basketball vs. Old Tappan / LOSS 54-27

Valley lost to Old Tappan, 54-27. Celina Bussanich (Jr.) had 14 points, and Raina Gibbs (Fr.) had 8 points with 7 rebounds.

Boys Basketball @ Old Tappan / LOSS 58-43

Boys Basketball lost to Old Tappan, 58-43. Devin Merker (Jr.) led Valley, with 15 points. Dante DaCosta (So.) and Liam Higgins (So.) each had 8 points as well.

Ice Hockey vs. Mendham / WIN 3-1

Pascack Ice Hockey defeated Mendham 3-1 in their match. Owen Dargan (So.) led the way for the Panthers, as he scored 2 goals, and Hunter Goodman (Jr.) scored a goal as well.

2/9 Friday

Ice Hockey @ Northern Highlands | WIN 3-0

Pascack Hockey, in the Big North Gold Cup, Quarterfinal Round, defeated the number one seed, Northern Highlands, 3-0, as PV was the number eight seed. Jack Sheehan (So.), Justin Yoo (Jr.), and Zach Groves (Sr.) all scored for Valley. In the semi-finals, Valley will play number four seed Ramapo on Wednesday at 7 pm.

2/10 Saturday

Wrestling Quad Match / LOSS

Pascack Valley lost to Old Bridge, 51-28, Voorhees, 47-30, and St. Thomas Aquinas, 53-22, to finish their season. Valley finished their season 13-8.

Boys Basketball @ Tenafly / LOSS 67-51

Valley lost to Tenafly, 67-51 in their contest on Saturday. Trevor Kirkby (Jr.) had 16 points, and Devin Merker (Jr.) had 15 points.

Noah Reiser is a senior who joined the Valley Echo his sophomore year. He started as a sports writer and is now one of the Lead Sports Editors for this year’s staff. Noah has always been passionate about writing and sports, whether for a class or the Valley Echo. During his time at Pascack Valley, Noah played on the soccer and baseball teams his freshman year and is a current member of the Varsity Basketball Team. He has also been a part of Camp Raspberry, Yearbook, Investment Club, and the National Honors Society. Noah looks to continue his writing and editing production, exploring the various stories that involve Pascack Valley sports.

Ava Kim is a senior who has been a part of The Valley Echo since her freshman year. This is her second year as a photo editor and she is looking forward to pursuing her passion for photography. When she is not taking photos for the publication, Ava can be seen baking or cheering on the Pascack Valley varsity and competition cheer team.
