The Baseball team lost a tightly-contested matchup against Roxbury 3-2. James Narlinger (Jr.), Nick Donofrio (Jr.), and Sam Stalb (Fr.) all picked up 2 hits in the loss. JT Deriso (Jr.) pitched 5 innings and gave up 3 runs in the loss.
Girls Lacrosse @ Columbia | LOSS 18-10
The Girls Lacrosse team suffered its first loss of the season in an 18-10 defeat against Columbia. Jenna Reinhart (So.) led the team with 3 goals, and Ella Saxon (Jr.), Courtney Pelisson (Jr.), and Mia Boretti (So.) all had 2 goals.

Boys Tennis vs Paramus | WIN 4-1
The Boys Tennis team picked up a win over Paramus 4-1. Evan Hwang (Fr.) and Evan Starr (Jr.) won their individual matches in straight sets. Lee Sung Dang (Sr.) and Robert Wasserman (Jr.) won their doubles match in straight sets.
Softball @ Old Tappan | LOSS 6-5
The Softball team was defeated by Old Tappan in extra innings, 6-5. Caliana Dembowski (So.) led the team with 3 hits and had 4 RBIs. Lexi Siller (So.) pitched 8 innings for Valley and picked up an RBI as well.
Golf vs Riverdell | LOSS 154-178
Golf suffered a defeat against Riverdell 154-178. Luke Dolan (Jr.) shot a 37 for Valley, but it was not enough to win the match. Sebastian Garcia (Sr.) shot a 44 in the match.

Baseball was defeated by Hackensack 11-4.
Boys Lacrosse vs Lakeland | WIN 11-2
The Boys Lacrosse team picked up a win on senior night against Lakeland 11-2. Dylan Borges (Jr.) had 4 goals in the win and Joe Massaro (Jr.) had 2. Gannon Strother (Jr.) had 8 saves in the win.

Golf vs Mahwah | WIN 174-191
The Golf team picked up a win over Mahwah by a score of 174-191. Luke Dolan (Jr.) led the way for Valley with a 42. Aidan O’Brien (Sr.), Devin Merker (Jr.), and Ethan Ross (Jr.), shot a 43, 44, and 45 respectively.
Baseball @ Northern Highlands | WIN 8-5
The Baseball team ended its losing streak with an 8-5 win over Northern Highlands. Luke Good (Jr.) pitched 4.2 innings only allowing 1 hit and 1 run.
Softball vs Dumont | LOSS 4-3
Softball suffered a 9-inning defeat to Dumont by a score of 4-3. Valley overcame a one run deficit twice in the matchup, but was ultimately defeated. Lexi Siller (So.) led Valley with 2 RBIs and only allowed 2 earned runs on the bump in the loss. Ashley Diaz (Jr.) and Jordyn Ban (Jr.) each picked up 2 hits in the loss.

The Boys Tennis team picked up a 4-1 victory over Teaneck. The boys were led by Evan Hwang (Fr.) and Max Sobel (Jr.) who each picked up wins in straight sets. Nathan Faber (Fr.) and Luke Melconian (Fr.) along with Harrison Wilkin (Sr.) and Austin Bernstein (Jr.) were victorious in their doubles matches.

Girls Lacrosse picked up its second loss of the season against Saddle River Day. The Panthers were led in scoring by Ella Saxon (Jr.), Courtney Pelisson (Jr.), and Mia Boretti (So.) who all had 2 goals each. Caitlyn Dalton (Fr.) tallied 8 saves in the loss.

Softball vs Northern Highlands | LOSS 5-4
The Panthers were defeated by the Highlanders 5-4. Caliana Dembowski (So.) picked up 2 hits and 2 RBIs in the loss. Jordyn Ban (Jr.) and Ashley Diaz (Jr.) each picked up an RBI in the loss as well. Lexi Siller (So.) allowed only 2 earned runs in the loss.
Boys Tennis vs Bergenfield | WIN 5-0
The Boys Tennis squad picked up a win over Bergenfield by a score of 5-0. The team won every matchup in straight sets and Robbie Wasserman (Jr.) and Nick Tabano (Jr.) won by a score of 6-0 in both sets.
Boys Lacrosse @ River Dell | WIN 10-3
The Boys Lacrosse team picked up its 9th win on the season with a 10-3 victory over River Dell. The Panthers were led by Donnie Duffus (Jr.) with 3 goals. Joey Dargan (Jr.) and Dylan Borges (Jr.) each had 2 goals in the matchup. Charlie Haller (Sr.) also notched his 100th career point in the win. Gannon Strother (Jr.) held strong in goal with 12 saves. The boys next matchup will be in the quarterfinals of the Bergen County Tournament against Tenafly on Tuesday, May 7th.
Friday, May 3
Baseball vs. Ramapo | WIN 4-3
The Panthers defeated Ramapo in walk-off fashion behind a three-run seventh inning that put them over the top. Starting pitcher Andrew Wallace (Sr.) let up eight hits and three runs (two earned runs) while striking out five through 6.2 innings. Owen Shirey (Sr.), who was credited with the win, pitched the last ⅓ inning. Trevor Kirkby (Jr.) knocked home the walkoff single.
Boys Tennis vs Tenafly | LOSS 5-0
The Panthers were defeated by the Tigers in every matchup and lost the match 5-0. The boys’ next matchup is against Ramsey on May 6th.
Saturday, May 4
Baseball vs. Wood-Ridge | WIN 11-1
The No. 13 seeded Panthers took care of No. 20 seeded Wood-Ridge, 11-1, in the preliminary round of the Bergen County Tournament. The game ended after five innings due to the mercy rule after Valley scored six runs in the bottom of the fifth. JT DeRiso pitched all five innings, allowing just two hits and striking out six. The Panthers face No. 4 seeded St. Joe’s in the next round of the tournament on Wednesday.
Girls Lacrosse vs. Rutherford | WIN 14-4
No. 5 Girls Lacrosse defeated No. 12 Rutherford, 14-4, in the first round of the Bergen County Tournament. Ella Saxon, Courtney Pelisson, and Mia Boretti each had four goals in the winning effort. The Panthers will take on No. 4 Glen Rock in the quarterfinal round on Monday.
