Monday, September 8

GIRLS VARSITY SOCCER VS HOLY ANGELS | Win 3-0

Girls soccer stays perfect in the shut out victory. Allie Polyniak (Sr.), Maddie Wu (Jr.), and Abby Metz (Sr.) each scored one goal in the win.

BOYS VARSITY SOCCER @ ST JOES | Win 3-0

Boys soccer gets back on track with an amazing Adrain Cano (Sr.) hat trick to lead the boys to a dominant win.

GIRLS VARSITY TENNIS VS NVOT | Win 4-1

A huge win from the girls tennis team, as they beat Old Tappen 4-1 and only lost 3 sets total.

GIRLS VARSITY VOLLEYBALL VS RIDGEFIELD PARK | Win 2-0

Girls volleyball earned a victory in their first game of the season, led by a 23-assist performance from Celia Torres (Sr.).

Wednesday, September 10

GIRLS VARSITY VOLLEYBALL VS TENAFLY | Win 2-1

Riley Hirsch’s (Sr.) 11 kills and Celia Torres’ (Sr.) 31 assists led volleyball to its second win of the season.

BOYS VARSITY SOCCER GAME @ PASCACK HILLS | Win 4-3

Varsity soccer defeated rival Hills in a high-scoring matchup. Lucas Mercado (Jr.), Adrian Gutierrez (Sr.), Adrian Cano (Sr.), and Luca Lepore (So.) scored in the Valley win.

Thursday, September 11

GIRLS VARSITY SOCCER VS PASCACK HILLS | Win 2-0

Girls soccer shut out Pascack Hills to remain undefeated and stay 4-0 on the season. Maddie Wu (Jr.) and Ciara Dersimonian (Sr.) scored in the win.

Friday, September 12

GIRLS VARSITY TENNIS VS TENAFLY | Loss 4-1

A difficult loss for girls tennis, the only player to win was second singles, Abby Osso.

GIRLS VARSITY VOLLEYBALL VS NVOT | Loss 2-0

Girls Volleyball lost both sets against Old Tappan, but they put up a great fight only losing both sets by 10 scores.

FOOTBALL VS TEANECK | Win 29-26

Football picked up a huge win this week, Adam Shaw led the way with 2 rushing touchdowns, and Nick Ocampo scored a touchdown in the final moments to win.

As a junior, Nathan Faber has been a member of The Valley Echo for two years and is now a Sports Editor. He has always enjoyed writing for the paper, and enjoys reading articles on football, basketball, and baseball. He has been on the Varsity Tennis Team since his freshman year. He is also a member of the Chess Club, Bee Club, This Week in Politics, and Habitat for Humanity. In his free time, he enjoys watching sports, playing tennis, and golf. He hopes to continue writing more articles this year.

Zander Karalewich, Editor-in-Chief

Zander Karalewich is a junior at Pascack Valley High School and Editor-in-Chief of The Valley Echo. This is his third year with the student newspaper, where he previously served as a Staff Editor. Zander enjoys writing feature articles and school news for the paper. In addition to his role with The Echo, Zander is an active member of clubs like This Week in Politics, Investment, and History, and plays golf for PV. He is also an event photographer for various publications.
