Head coach: Anthony Judilla

Key losses: Michael Pizzella, Anthony Sileo, Jay Ramirez, and Lola Smith
Key newcomers: Adam Shaw (So.), Jenna Reinhart (So.), and Emma Sandt (So.)
Strengths of team: “For the boys, [the strength] is being under the radar because a lot of [other] teams know we lost a lot of seniors,” Judilla said.
“[For the girls], between the strength of our underclassmen and the leadership of our couple seniors, we can compete in a lot of sprint relays that we haven’t been able to compete in, in the past,” Judilla said.
Weaknesses: For the boys, it’s the ability to “not only compete in events but to compete at the caliber that our county competes in,” Judilla said.
Similarly, Judilla believes that the girls’ side has strong competition in their county, and the competition in states can “even be easier because of how tough it is in Bergen County.”
Outlook: Last season, the Panthers were led strongly by their seniors. Without them this year, it’s important for the key returners to show their experience and leadership. Judilla points out that the goal “on both sides is to extend the season as long as we can… I want individual qualifiers; I want relays.”
Coach’s comment: “The cool thing about track and field is not necessarily about our record; it’s about marks hit throughout the season,” Judilla said.
