Check out the boys lacrosse preview as they hope to win their league and gain more chemistry as there are only 3 starters that remain from last year.

2022 Boys Lacrosse Preview

Coach: Matthew Will (third year as head coach, previously assistant coach for 7 years)

Last year’s record: 9-6

Key Returners: Evan Leili (Sr., mid), James Graizzaro (Sr., attack), and Roman Adams (Jr., defense)

Key Losses: Nate Lewis (Jr., torn ACL), 19 players graduated last year including Daniel Haag (mid), Jared Cohen (defense), Desmond Von Tobel (goalie), Shane Cubala (LSM) and Joe Christiano (attack).

Strength and Weakness of team: “The younger guys are stepping up and we will see how they handle the bright lights, but so far it has been encouraging,” Will said. “It’s going to come down to the speed of the game and if you have never played a varsity game before it can [and] will move quickly.”

Outlook on the season: “Our league got harder and it will be tough,” Will said. “Every team has good players so there is going to be a lot of competition. I want to see us compete with those teams day in and day out.”

Coach’s Comment: “We want the four returners to teach everyone what the expectations are for this program,” Will said. “We want to see the attitude and the culture of the program continue to be a positive one and continue to grow and not back down from anybody.”
