Pascack Valley Vs. Sparta

Location: Sparta High School

Time: 2 p.m.

No. 6 Pascack Valley: 14-4-3

No. 1 Sparta: 19-1-1

Valley’s Perspective: Valley comes into the game on a 6-game winning streak, and has not lost a game since Oct. 23 against Emerson. Since their winning streak has begun, both their offense and defense have been spot on, outscoring their opponents 16-2. Valley is led by Jr. Julia Conjour (13 goals, 10 assists) and So. Amanda Polyniak (11 goals, 4 assists). Sr. Goalie Isabella Matthews has also made a big impact tallying 8 clean sheets on the season. 

Sparta’s Perspective: Like Valley, Sparta has also been on a roll as of late. In fact, they’ve only lost one game during the entire season. So far, they’ve dominated the state tournament, outscoring their opponents 16-1, including a 1-0 win against No. 4 Ramsey in the semifinals. Sparta is led by Sr. Kate Mazella (24 goals, 23 assists) and So. Juliana Dolinski (22 goals, 6 assists). Sr. Goalie Shauna Ryan has 105 saves on the season.
