Head coach: Tom Gallione (3rd season)

Last year’s record: 1-14

Key returnees: Holly Aloi (Sr.), Allison Botwinick (Sr.), Amanda Hirschberg (Sr.), Elizabeth Parisi (Sr.), Stephanie Perini (Sr.), and Jessica Ruback (Jr.)

Key losses: Arianna Aguero, Luciné Alashaian, and Alyssa Osenbruck

Key newcomers: Lily Glastein (So.), Melanie Brentnall (So.), and Hailey Juillet (So.)

Strengths of team: One of the team’s biggest strengths is their senior leadership. Some of the seniors have been playing on varsity since their freshman year and hope their experience will help them on the court.

Areas that need improvement: Looking for the perfect fit for doubles teams. It is key for double partners to work together as one unit.

Outlook: This season the Indians look to improve on last year’s season with many key returners coming back. These include Stephanie Perini, Elizabeth Parisi, and Jessica Ruback, who will all play singles for PV. The team has great chemistry and hopes to improve each and everyday.

Coach’s comment: The tennis team has a lot of returning starters and I am looking for them to take the next step and continue to build off the success of last season.  If we stay healthy we can have a very good year.  The girls have been working hard in the preseason and are excited to start the regular season on Tuesday vs.Teaneck.”
