Golf team led by new coach

Cramer, Oh set to lead Indians

Coach: Brian Koch (1st year)

Last year’s record: 10-12

Key Returners: David Oh (Sr.) and Jake Cramer (So.)

Key Losses: Henry Tipping and Jerry Cutugno

Key Newcomers: A.J. Mann (Jr.), Drew Botwinick (Jr.), Jonathan Fan (Jr.), Patrick Healy (So.), Thomas Barlow (So.)

Strength of team: “We’ve only been able to get to the driving range with the weather being what it is, but [the team] is working very hard,” Koch said.

Weakness of team: The team’s lack of experience is their main weakness.

Outlook: The loss of Tipping leaves a void, but Cramer and Oh will play significant roles this season. Koch, the first year coach of the Indians, looks to start a new chapter with his mix of upperclassmen and underclassmen.

Coach’s Comment: “Our goal is to get better every match and to get there it will take focus and hard work. After our matches we’ll improve by getting after it at the driving range and working on what we didn’t do well in the matches,” Koch said.
