Amanda Polyniak attempts to turn the defender and go upfield. The girls soccer team looks to build off its sectional title run last year with new coach Leah Jerome.

Coach: Leah Jerome (first season)

Last year’s record: 14-5-3

Key Returners: Julia Conjour (Sr.), Tori Criscuolo (Sr.), Amanda Polyniak (Jr.), Tara Stewart (Jr.), Celina Bussanich (So.)

Key Losses: Isabel Forcellati, Isabella Matthews, Alexandra Spadafino

Strength of team: “Our cohesiveness as a team makes us better and will elevate us to play at the next level,” Coach Jerome said.

Outlook on the season: The team returns many key contributors and will rely on their talent and experience to emulate last season’s deep playoff run. Jerome plans to work with her team day in and day out to help them maximize their potential.

Coach’s Comment: “I’m excited to be coming into a situation that has an established tradition of excellence, and I just want to continue that and add my own flair,” Jerome said.
