Seniors Tiffany Lowe and Joel Noonan, co-presidents of the Choir Board, dressed up for the Halloween Talent Night in October.

Auditions for this year’s Valentine’s Day Talent Night, hosted by PV Choir, are coming up on Thursday. All students auditioning have signed up and are planning to perform various talents.

“We already have all our audition spots filled and several students are on a waiting list,” said Mrs. Argine Safari, the choral director at Pascack Valley High School.

With talent night coming up on Feb. 11, three days before Valentine’s day, the theme of the night is “love”. In the past, PV has not had a February talent night; usually, there is only one talent night a year.

“Because of the overwhelming number of students auditioning for our Halloween Talent night,” Safari said, “many could not be a part of it.”

Having another talent night will allow for more students to perform and those who aren’t performing are encouraged to attend and support their fellow students.

Though “PV Rocks”, an event that the choir has held for the past two years that involved a collaboration between students and faculty members, will not be happening this year, students will still have a chance to see some faculty members perform.

“We are not giving away any names!” Safari said.

After audition results are announced, performers will begin rehearsal. Accompaniment will be added including instruments and backup singers. Talent acts could include singing, dancing, acting, comedy, and poetry.

Tickets can be purchased in advance from student performers for $5.
