PV girls tennis looks to continue its bit of success from this past season

Indians win six matches on the year

Sport: Girls Tennis

Record: 6-9

Coach: Tom Gallione

Season Overview: The tennis team had a solid season this year. The Indians played in a tough league that included Old Tappan, Tenafly, and Demarest, but still gave forth a strong effort. PV found more success outside of its league, where it collected a few wins. In addition, the singles players performed well for the Indians.

Key Players from this Season: Jessica Ruback (Jr,), Elizabeth Parisi (Sr.), and Melanie Brentnall (So.)

Key Losses for Next Season: Stephanie Perini (Sr.) Parisi, Holly Aloi (Sr.), Amanda Hirschberg (Sr.), and Allison Botwinick (Sr.)

Best Win of the Season: The win against Paramus, where the Indians won by a score of 4-1.

What to Look Forward to for Next Year: PV looks to grow off the success from this year. Gallione said he is also looking forward to the state tournament next year, since PV is hosting it for the first time in over a decade.
